Data Deletion Instructions

Your Data, Your Control

MedPlaner lets you permanently delete your account and all associated service data directly from within the bot or Mini App.

No support request is required. No waiting period. Deletion takes effect immediately after you confirm.

If you need a copy of your data before deletion, use Export all data first (see below).

Export Before You Delete (Recommended)

Deletion is irreversible. To keep a personal backup:

  1. Open MedPlaner in Telegram (bot or Mini App).
  2. Go to Settings → Data & Privacy.
  3. Select Export all data.
  4. Download the JSON file to your device.

The export includes reminders, adherence logs, settings, and subscription status.

How to Delete Your Data

Option A — Mini App

  1. Open MedPlaner in Telegram.
  2. Open the Mini App (/app or the menu button).
  3. Go to Settings → Data & Privacy.
  4. Select Delete all data.
  5. Review the summary (number of reminders, log entries, caregiver links).
  6. Confirm that you understand deletion is permanent.
  7. Tap Delete all to complete.

Option B — Telegram Bot

  1. Open your private chat with MedPlaner in Telegram.
  2. Send /settings or open Settings from the menu.
  3. Choose Data & Privacy.
  4. Select Delete all data.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Once confirmed, your data is removed from active systems without delay.

What Gets Deleted

Account deletion permanently removes:

  • Your user profile and Telegram account link within the Service
  • All medication schedules and reminder settings
  • Adherence history and dose action logs
  • Language, time zone, and meal-time preferences
  • Subscription records associated with your account
  • Caregiver relationships — both as patient and as caregiver
  • Login identity records used by the Mini App
  • Error logs tied to your user ID

What Gets Anonymized (Not Linked to You)

Some records cannot be fully erased without breaking aggregated product statistics. These are de-identified instead:

  • Analytics events — your user ID is replaced with a null identifier; events remain for product improvement without personal linkage
  • Dose action journal entries — marked as deleted in internal logs

Aggregated statistics (for example, total Pro subscriptions) may be retained in a form that cannot reasonably identify you.

What Happens After Deletion

  • All active reminders stop immediately
  • Paid plan benefits end — no further charges from us (manage Telegram Stars subscriptions in Telegram if applicable)
  • Caregivers lose visibility into your adherence status
  • Deleted data cannot be recovered
  • To use MedPlaner again, start fresh with /start — this creates a new empty account

Automatic Log Retention (Active Accounts)

For accounts that remain active, the Service automatically purges old technical records:

  • Error logs — deleted after 90 days
  • Dose action logs — deleted after 180 days

Third-Party Data

Deleting your MedPlaner account does not delete messages already delivered in your Telegram chat history. You may manually delete bot messages in Telegram if you wish. Telegram Stars payment records are managed by Telegram under Telegram's own policies.

Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, account deletion fulfills your right to erasure for data we control, subject to limited exceptions required by law (such as fraud prevention or legal claims). For questions or manual assistance, contact support@medpillreminder.com.

If deletion fails or you cannot access Settings, email support@medpillreminder.com from the address you used to contact support (if any), including your Telegram username so we can verify ownership.
