Timezone Handling

MedPlaner automatically detects your timezone via Telegram's location data. When you travel, reminder times adjust to your local time. Example: a "08:00 AM" reminder in Moscow becomes "08:00 AM" in New York automatically.

Manual override: If auto-detection is incorrect, use /timezone to set your timezone manually.

Snooze Behavior

Each reminder offers snooze options: 5, 15, or 30 minutes. After snoozing, the reminder returns at the new time. Repeated snoozes are logged. If a dose is snoozed past the next scheduled dose time for the same medication, both reminders appear.

Escalation

If a dose is repeatedly snoozed or unconfirmed, escalation triggers:

1. Scheduled reminder → not confirmed.
2. After 30 min: confirmation request.
3. After 1 hour: missed dose notification.
4. If caregiver linked + threshold reached: caregiver alert.

Quiet Hours

Configure quiet hours (e.g., 22:00–07:00) during which reminders are suppressed. Doses scheduled during quiet hours are delivered after the quiet period ends. Critical alerts (caregiver alerts for severe misses) can override quiet hours if configured.

Offline Behavior

If your device is offline when a reminder is scheduled, the notification is queued on the server. When your device reconnects to Telegram, the queued notifications are delivered. The scheduled time is logged correctly regardless of delivery delay.

Notification Sound

MedPlaner uses Telegram's standard notification sound. You can customize this in your Telegram notification settings if desired.
