Supported Schedule Types

1. Daily at Specific Time

One or more exact times every day. Example: 08:00 and 20:00.

Syntax: "Lisinopril 10mg every day at 8:00 AM"

Use for: Maintenance medications taken at the same time daily.

2. Weekly on Selected Days

Specific days of the week. Example: Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 9:00.

Syntax: "Vitamin D every Monday and Thursday morning"

Use for: Weekly supplements, injectables, non-daily medications.

3. Every N Days

Repeats every N days, starting from a base date. Example: every 3 days.

Syntax: "Methotrexate every 7 days starting Monday"

Use for: Long-interval medications, biweekly dosing.

4. Every N Hours

Repeats every N hours from the first dose. Example: every 8 hours.

Syntax: "Amoxicillin 500mg every 8 hours"

Use for: Antibiotics, pain management requiring strict intervals.

5. Specific Dates

One-time or recurring specific calendar dates. Example: July 21, July 28.

Syntax: "Doctor appointment medication on July 21"

Use for: Non-recurring events, vaccination follow-ups.

6. Cycle (On/Off Periods)

Active period followed by rest period, repeating. Example: 21 days on, 7 days off.

Syntax: "Take for 21 days, then pause for 7 days, repeat"

Use for: Hormonal therapies, cyclical treatments.

7. PRN — As Needed

Take only when needed, with a minimum cooldown between doses and optional daily maximum.

Syntax: "Painkiller as needed, minimum 4 hours between doses, max 6 per day"

Use for: Pain relievers, anti-anxiety medication, symptom-based drugs.

8. Course (Fixed Duration)

Runs for a specific number of days with optional tapering phases.

Syntax: "Antibiotic 3x/day for 7 days" or "Prednisone: 40mg for 3 days, then 30mg for 3 days, then 20mg for 3 days, then 10mg for 3 days"

Use for: Antibiotics, steroid tapers, short-term treatments.

9. Combined (Multiple Rules)

Multiple schedule rules for the same medication. Any combination of the above.

Syntax: "Take with breakfast and dinner, plus once before bed"

Use for: Complex regimens that don't fit a single schedule type.

Limitations

  • Maximum reminder frequency: 1 per medication per hour.
  • Combined schedules with contradictory rules will prompt clarification.
  • PRN daily maximum is enforced but not a medical safeguard — follow your doctor's guidance.
